The name translates to the Dutch "Rooster crowing". There is a story that the early Dutch settlers here saw a rooster come floating down the creek on a block of ice, so the creek became known as the ''Hannekraai'', meaning "cock-crowing" creek. The settlement of Hannecroix also took its name from the creek.〔(From Abbotts to Zurich: New York State Placenames, by Ren Vasiliev )〕 ==Tributaries== * Silver Creek * Gulf Creek * Cole Hollow (stream) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Hannacrois Creek」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
